The Office of Public Integrity and Accountability is conducting an investigation into a fatal police-involved shooting that took place on January 5, 2026, in Piscataway Township, Middlesex County, New Jersey.
Preliminary reports indicate that officers from the Piscataway Police Department responded to a residence on River Road around 5:30 p.m. after receiving a 911 call about an individual with a knife. Upon arrival, officers encountered a man armed with a knife and subsequently shot and killed him.
