Bloustein School students win first place at Seton Hall case study challenge

A team from the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University has won first place in the 2025 Hybrid Graduate Case Study Challenge, which took place at Seton Hall University on November 2. The Master of Health Education team included Parth Shah, Julianna Baldwin, and Sheno John. They were mentored by Dr. Soumitra Bhuyan, Executive Director of the Health Administration Programs and Associate Professor at the Bloustein School. The team received a $1,500 award for their achievement.

Anthony Stanowski, immediate past president and CEO of CHAME, commented on the team’s success: “Congratulations to Parth Shah, BHMS, MHA, CLSSGB, Julianna Baldwin, and Sheno John! Behind this exceptional team is a top notch faculty, led by Rutgers University Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy faculty Soumitra Bhuyan, PhD, MPH. A special shout out to Seton Hall University MHA program, led by Nalin Johri, for his leadership in this regional case competition attracting great teams from Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Experiences like this are important for enabling the next generation of healthcare leaders to succeed out of the gate.”

The event brought together graduate student teams from across Pennsylvania and New Jersey to compete in solving real-world healthcare administration challenges.
