The New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP) has announced the recipients of its 2025 ‘MADE in NJ’ Manufacturing Day Awards. The event highlights companies and individuals who have contributed to the advancement of manufacturing in New Jersey.
This year, five companies received special recognition. Lobster Life Systems from Lodi was named Manufacturer of the Year in the small business category. UTRS Advanced Manufacturing, based in Marlton, took the award for medium-sized manufacturers. Legrand, Middle Atlantic from Fairfield won in the large manufacturer category. Geared Power BioGuard of Wayne was recognized as a leader in life sciences, while KrellTech from Neptune received the Innovator of the Year award.
In addition to company awards, NJMEP honored several individuals for their impact on the industry by naming them to its ‘MADE in NJ’ honor roll. Christopher Emigholz, Chief Government Affairs Officer at the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA), was among those recognized. Others included Tom Bergeron, owner and editor of BINJE; Kelly Broznya, state director and CEO of NJSBDC hosted at Rutgers Business School; Jim Hannan, partner at Withum; Mark Schmit and Thomas J. Williams from the NIST Manufacturing Extension Program.
Lightera manager Cari August received NJMEP’s Rising Star award.
