NJ101.5 Senior Political Director and News Anchor Eric Scott appeared on the latest episode of “Minding Your Business” on News 12+, joining Bob Considine to talk about his new nightly program “Jersey Thing,” the fiscal year 2027 state budget, and recent political developments in Trenton, according to a Mar. 9 announcement.
Scott said the show is designed to make New Jersey’s complex issues more understandable for viewers. “[The show is] about celebrating New Jersey, it’s about putting the fun in our dysfunctional government, it’s about everything that we deal with in the Garden State and we try to break down some complicated issues in ways that people can understand,” Scott said.
He also described the motivation behind “Jersey Thing.” “A lot of times it’s really difficult to understand how we got to where we are in New Jersey. So really, at its heart, a ‘Jersey Thing’ is why is this a Jersey thing? Is there any way that we can fix it? Where are we going and why are we in a handbasket?”
