Garden State Initiative President Audrey Lane appeared on “Minding Your Business” on News 12+ to discuss the organization’s recent report that examines the economic impact of New Jersey’s Energy Master Plan. The report, according to Lane, highlights significant financial concerns and questions the assumptions underlying the state’s energy policy.

“There were some people saying, ‘why are you putting out this report now?’ And even, ‘you should have done that a year ago.’ And I said, this is an issue that is ongoing,” Lane said. “And until we have an update of the New Jersey Energy Master Plan, it’s more important now than ever.

“One of the things we point out in the report is there was very little, if any, consideration for the cost of this energy initiative. And really, in good policy analysis, that is a key factor.”

“Minding Your Business” is produced by the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA) and has received seven Telly Awards over three years. The show won a gold 2024 Telly Award in the Interview & Talk Show category.
