Rosemary Becchi, founder and president of Jersey 1st, appeared on “Minding Your Business” this past weekend to talk about her organization’s focus on policies that impact New Jersey residents. The discussion took place as the state approaches its gubernatorial election.

Becchi spoke with Bob Considine about the goals of Jersey 1st, emphasizing the need for changes in economic and energy policies to improve affordability. “We are fighting to make New Jersey a better place to live, to learn, work and retire,” Becchi said. She added, “I really wanted to do something that would help us lower our taxes, reign in our spending so I started Jersey 1st.”

Becchi also pointed out ongoing challenges facing residents: “New Jersey is just not affordable. People are struggling.”

The interview was part of NJBIA’s “Minding Your Business,” a weekly television program recognized with seven Telly Awards over the past three years. In 2024, it received a gold Telly Award in the Interview & Talk Show category.
