Adam Guziejewski has been appointed president of Katz Government Affairs, while Laura Gunn will serve as senior vice president. This change is part of a planned leadership transition at the firm.

Carol Katz, who founded Katz Government Affairs in 2003 and has served as its president since then, will now take on the role of founder. She will remain involved in both leadership and client service at the firm.

“Adam has been a driving force within Katz Government Affairs since he joined the firm in 2018,” said Katz. “His leadership, integrity, and deep understanding of the legislative and regulatory landscape make him the ideal person to guide the firm’s next chapter. I am incredibly proud of what we have built together, and I look forward to continuing to serve our clients alongside Adam and Laura in my new role.”

Guziejewski brings nearly two decades of experience in government affairs and association management focused on public policy in New Jersey. He expressed appreciation for his new responsibilities: “This is an exciting new chapter for Katz Government Affairs,” Guziejewski said. “Carol started this firm in 2003 from scratch and has made it one of Trenton’s most respected and established lobbying firms. Her vision, values and mentorship have shaped Katz Government Affairs’ culture and impact.

“I am equally excited to work closely with Laura in her new capacity as senior vice president— her professionalism, creativity and commitment to our clients are second to none,” Guziejewski said.

Laura Gunn has more than ten years of experience working with legislative, regulatory, and stakeholder engagement matters in Trenton. In her statement about her promotion she said: “I have seen firsthand how KGA’s thoughtful approach helps our clients achieve real impact,” Gunn said.  I am grateful for the opportunity to continue working alongside Adam and Carol, and I am committed to helping lead the firm with the same passion, integrity, and client-first focus that have always defined our work.”
