Lt. Gov. Dale Caldwell spoke about ways to improve New Jersey’s workforce by connecting groups that often work separately, according to a May 15 announcement from the New Jersey Business and Industry Association.

The topic was featured during the association’s Workforce Summit, where Caldwell addressed a full audience on strategies for strengthening the state’s workforce by fostering greater collaboration among different sectors.

In addition to coverage of the summit, this weekend’s episode of “Minding Your Business” on News 12+ includes an interview with Dr. Matt McDonald, president and chief executive officer of Children’s Specialized Hospital. McDonald discussed efforts involved in building one of the nation’s leading providers of care for children with special health needs from birth through age 21.

The New Jersey Business and Industry Association serves as the nation’s largest statewide employer association, representing employers across various sectors and serving private-sector employers throughout New Jersey, according to the official website. The organization advances competitive excellence and financial success for its members while delivering essential information and services, offering advocacy, practical information, cost-saving benefits, and facilitating partnerships among businesses, government entities, and academic institutions.

“Minding Your Business” is a weekly television show produced by NJBIA that has received seven Telly Awards over three years—including a gold award in 2024 in the Interview & Talk Show category.
