New Jersey’s healthcare sector continues to play a significant role in the state’s innovation and manufacturing growth, according to Chrissy Buteas, President and CEO of the Healthcare Institute of New Jersey (HINJ). During an appearance on “Minding Your Business” on News 12+, Buteas spoke with host Bob Considine about the impact of biopharmaceutical and medical technology companies based in New Jersey.

“We are the folks that are manufacturing different medications; our med tech companies are specializing in providing different products such as hip and knee replacements and scaffolds for your eye. Think about the Band-Aid back developed here in New Jersey,” Buteas said.

She added, “And so our companies, many of which are headquartered right here in the state of New Jersey, we’re proud to be manufacturing and finding different treatments and cures for the patients, not only in New Jersey, but the United States and around the world.”

“Minding Your Business” is produced by the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA) as a weekly television program. The show has received recognition for its work, winning seven Telly Awards over three years. In 2024, it earned a gold Telly Award in the Interview & Talk Show category.
