The New Jersey Libertarian Party has voiced its support for digital privacy, decentralization, and an end to the government’s actions against cryptocurrency. The party emphasizes the importance of preserving technological innovation, including cryptocurrencies, encrypted messaging services, and virtual private networks (VPNs). They argue that the United States should remain a leader in progress by ceasing state interference in digital matters.

The party criticized the Biden administration’s policies, particularly Operation Chokepoint 2.0, which they claim imposes discriminatory financial restrictions on the cryptocurrency industry. They call on President Trump to fulfill his promise to end Chokepoint 2.0 and urge him to terminate other programs like the Patriot Act and the Communication Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA).

Additionally, they commend President Trump for pardoning Ross Ulbricht but express concern over what they see as unjust government actions against individuals such as Roman Storm, Roger Ver, and Ian Freeman. The party demands Freeman’s release and the dropping of charges against those involved in cryptocurrency innovation.

The statement acknowledges public unease with rapid technological advancements but asserts that individual rights should not be compromised. It calls for an end to state intrusion into digital affairs and encourages other Libertarian affiliates to support this resolution.
