The selected interns are Abigail Asante-Amoah, an international graduate student from Ghana pursuing a Master of Public Policy at the Bloustein School; Malachi David, majoring in Africana studies at Rutgers-Newark; Tiffany Flax, an undergraduate double majoring in Political Science and English; Tricia Harris, enrolled in a dual BS/MPH program at the Rutgers School of Public Health; Avianna Peterson, a graduate student in the Master of Public Health program; and Sami Shaikh, an undergraduate double majoring in Economics and Public Administration at Rutgers-Newark.
Sophia Fox-Dichter, a doctoral student in the Planning and Public Policy program at the Bloustein School, will lead the internship as NJSPL teaching assistant.
During their tenure, interns will interact with researchers and educators experienced in local, state, and federal policies. The program concludes with students presenting their research findings on chosen public policy areas.
