This weekend’s episode of “Minding Your Business” on News 12+ will highlight the ongoing work of the New Jersey Pathways to Career Opportunities Initiative. This program is a collaboration between the New Jersey Business and Industry Association (NJBIA) and New Jersey’s Community Colleges, aiming to better align education with workforce needs.

Karen Bearce, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Raritan Valley Community College, along with Alexa Offenhauer, Associate Professor of English at RVCC, will speak with Bob Considine about the Essential Learning, General Education, and Career Readiness Collaborative. They will discuss how this initiative provides students with more resources to transition from classroom learning to careers.

The show will also feature Jaci Kator, Regional Vice President at AT&T, and Steve Jobin, President of Raritan Bay Area YMCA. They will talk about the opening of AT&T’s first Connected Learning Center in New Jersey and efforts to address the digital divide in local communities.

“Minding Your Business” is a weekly television program produced by NJBIA. The show has received seven Telly Awards over three years, including a gold award in 2024 for Interview & Talk Show. It airs on News 12+ at 9:30 a.m. every Saturday and Sunday, as well as at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
