NJ WasteWise Business Network schedules online meeting for May 5

The New Jersey WasteWise Business Network will hold its next online meeting on May 5, according to an announcement made on Mar. 30. The free seminar is open to businesses and organizations interested in learning about waste reduction, recycling, and the use of recycled products.

The event aims to show how sustainable practices can benefit organizations financially while promoting environmental responsibility. Individuals who are New Jersey Certified Recycling Professionals can earn 1.5 recertification credits by attending the session.

Presentations at the meeting will cover a range of topics including food donation guidelines presented by Hélène Lanctuit, residential composting with Virginia Lamb, e-waste recycling led by David Hirschler, behavioral science perspectives on recycling from Maryam Shahri of Penn State University, and sustainability initiatives at Hikma Pharmaceuticals discussed by Kris Wallace. A question-and-answer period will follow the presentations.
