The New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA) Board of Trustees has announced the appointment of Christopher Guiton, an executive from Johnson & Johnson, as its newest member. Guiton brings extensive experience in government affairs, legal matters, and pharmaceutical manufacturing to the board and will serve a three-year term.

NJBIA President & CEO Michele Siekerka revealed that new officers were elected at the board’s meeting on May 7. Lori Roth, Managing Partner at Prager Metis Global and former Vice Chair of NJBIA’s board, has been named the new Chair. She takes over from Cliff Lindholm, President and CEO of Falstrom Company. Siekerka praised Lindholm for his leadership: “We are incredibly grateful to Cliff for his steadfast leadership of NJBIA’s board the past two years.”

Jaclyn Kator, Regional VP of External Affairs and Legislative Affairs at AT&T, was elected Vice Chair, replacing Roth. Deanna Sperling, President & CEO of RWJBarnabas Health Behavioral Health Center, was appointed Treasurer.

Siekerka highlighted the significance of having women executives in top roles: “During the next two years, NJBIA’s board will be led by a dynamic and accomplished team of women executives serving in its top three officer roles for the first time in our organization’s 115-year history.”

Guiton succeeds Celestina Quintana on the board. Quintana is retiring after 25 years with NJBIA. Siekerka acknowledged her contributions: “Celeste is rotating off the board, and we extend our heartfelt thanks for her many years of dedicated service.”

In other developments, James W. Horne Jr., President & CEO of Junior Achievement of New Jersey, secured a second three-year term on the board. Additionally, Bernie Corrigan from IBEW Local 102 and Kiran Gaudioso from United Way of Northern New Jersey were ratified as trustees.

The NJBIA Board has grown to include 21 members with diverse professional backgrounds to reflect New Jersey’s business landscape better. “Our 2025 Board matches the diverse fabric of our membership,” said Siekerka.
