The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) is set to hold an information session for businesses newly eligible for the Route 80 Business Assistance Grant Program. The session will take place in person on Tuesday, May 27, at 5:00 p.m., and applications for the program will be available starting Thursday, May 29, at 10:00 a.m.

Earlier this month, the NJEDA Board decided to expand the eligibility criteria of the grant program. Now, small businesses located within five miles of Route 80’s Exit 34 can apply for assistance regardless of their county location.

The Route 80 Business Assistance Grant Program aims to provide financial support ranging from $1,000 to $15,000. This initiative targets businesses and non-profits near Route 80’s Exit 34 where sinkholes have been causing traffic disruptions.

Eligible applicants include small businesses and non-profits with up to 50 full-time employees situated within a five-mile radius of Exit 34. Additionally, these applicants must demonstrate a negative financial impact of at least $1,000 during the first quarter of 2025.
