The New Jersey State Bar Association announced on April 10 that it is inviting experienced attorneys to participate in a survey focused on retirement, succession planning, and ongoing engagement opportunities. The survey aims to gather insights from seasoned professionals about their plans for the later stages of their careers.

The purpose of the initiative is to help the association better understand how it can support attorneys as they transition toward retirement or consider ways to remain active in the legal community. The association said responses will inform future programs related to teaching, mentoring, and educational activities.

According to the announcement, all responses collected through the survey will be anonymous. This measure is intended to encourage candid feedback and ensure participants’ privacy.

By gathering this information, the association hopes to design resources that address the needs of its members who are considering retirement or looking for ways to continue contributing after stepping back from full-time practice.

The results are expected to guide future efforts by the New Jersey State Bar Association in providing meaningful support and engagement opportunities for senior attorneys.
