The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) is currently accepting nominations for its 2025 Ovation Awards. The awards aim to honor professionals who have made significant contributions to advancing the accounting profession in New Jersey. Nominations will be accepted until August 15.

According to NJCPA, the awards recognize individuals who excel through volunteerism, meaningful contributions, and efforts to engage young professionals in the field. The categories open for nomination include Impact, Innovation, Emerging Leader, Exceptional Educator, Lifetime Leader, and Woman to Watch. Both self-nominations and nominations of colleagues are permitted.

Eligibility for certain categories is restricted; only NJCPA members can be nominated for Emerging Leader, Woman to Watch, and Lifetime Leader awards. However, nonmembers are eligible for other categories.

The deadline for submitting nominations is August 15. Winners will be notified on September 11 and later featured on the NJCPA’s IssuesWatch podcast as well as in New Jersey CPA magazine.

Aiysha (AJ) Johnson, CEO and executive director at NJCPA stated: “We look forward to celebrating all our Ovation Award winners, whose dedication to the profession, their colleagues and their communities is unmatched.” She added that these awards serve as a means to recognize “unsung heroes” within the accounting field.
