PATH has announced that train service between Harrison and Journal Square stations will be suspended from 11:59 p.m. Friday, September 19, through 5 a.m. Monday, September 22, to allow for essential construction and repairs on the tracks. During this period, free shuttle bus service will be provided to assist passengers traveling between Harrison and Journal Square, as well as between Newark-Penn Station and Journal Square.

Additional planned suspensions are scheduled for the weekends of October 4-5 and October 25-26 (from 11:59 p.m. Fridays to 5 a.m. Mondays), as well as October 11-12 and November 1-2 (from 2:30 a.m. Saturdays to 5 a.m. Mondays).

PATH service will continue to operate between Newark-Penn Station and Harrison, along with service on the JSQ-WTC line and the JSQ-33 St via Hoboken line during these periods. Weekday PATH service is not affected by these outages.

A spokesperson for PATH stated, “As a reminder, from 11:59 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, through 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22, PATH service will be suspended in both directions between the Harrison and Journal Square (JSQ) stations to accommodate critical construction and repair work on PATH tracks. PATH will provide free shuttle buses between Harrison and JSQ and between Newark-Penn Station and JSQ during these service outages.”

The agency encourages travelers to plan ahead if they intend to use PATH services during the affected weekends.
