Rider University’s student-run radio station, 107.7 The Bronc, has received a nomination for College Station of the Year by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) for the fifth time in six years. The station is among five collegiate stations selected as finalists for the 2025 NAB Marconi Radio Award, which is considered one of the highest honors in the broadcast industry. The winner will be announced on October 21 at a ceremony at the Edison Ballroom in New York City.
General Manager John Mozes commented on the achievement, stating, “This most recent national recognition by our fellow broadcasters from coast-to-coast caps off what’s been a strong year for 107.7 The Bronc and our passionate group of content creators.”
Mozes also emphasized the dedication of students involved with the station: “The students’ unbreakable spirit and impenetrable belief in how the radio station not only produces content, but also how that content impacts the student experience here at Rider University is probably the biggest reason we are able to continually provide high quality, creative content for both the campus community and everyone who tunes into The Bronc.”
The station has recently been recognized by other organizations as well. According to The Princeton Review, 107.7 The Bronc was ranked as the No. 18 best college radio station in the United States. In addition, it earned two Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) Media Awards this May.
The NAB Marconi Radio Awards were established in 1989 and are named after Guglielmo Marconi, an inventor and Nobel Prize winner. These awards honor radio stations and on-air personalities who demonstrate excellence in broadcasting.
