Montclair State University’s Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship + Innovation will host the second annual New Jersey Small Business Summit on October 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the College of Communication and Media.
The event is designed for entrepreneurs and small business owners, offering expert-led workshops, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and special activations throughout the day. Attendees will have the chance to learn about strategies for making their businesses more resilient in changing times, as well as ways to use artificial intelligence tools to improve efficiency and apply marketing techniques aimed at growth.
Lloyd Pearson, celebrity fitness trainer and founder of Live with Lloyd (LWL), will deliver the keynote address. According to organizers: “In his keynote, Pearson will talk about how he launched his own fitness brand, secured partnerships with dream collaborators, and built relationships that created momentum.”
A panel discussion titled “Resilience Through Change” will follow the keynote. The session will cover funding strategies, supply chain management, team building, and approaches for diversifying and growing businesses over the next five years.
Workshop facilitators and panelists include Tog Samphel (founder of Anytongs), Jimmy Newson (business consultant known as the “Impact Influencer”), Annalyce D’Agostino-Gavin (entrepreneur and designer), Stephanie LeBlanc-Godfrey (founder of Mother AI), and Julie Castro Abrams (founder of How Women Invest).
Workshops offered during the summit focus on topics such as using AI to understand customers or create content efficiently, building a professional brand identity on a budget, and improving sales content by addressing emotional factors.
Attendees can also access breakfast, lunch, networking opportunities throughout the day, as well as complimentary mini-consultation sessions with attorneys, accountants, tax experts, business strategists in an Experts Corner.
