Soccer summit set for July at Prudential Center amid rising interest

Top soccer executives, investors, team owners, media executives, tech leaders, and athletes will convene at the Prudential Center on July 10 for an event focusing on New Jersey’s role as a hub for innovation in global sports, media, and technology.

“The Global Game: The Future of Soccer, Tech & Media Summit,” hosted by GK Digital Ventures in collaboration with Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE), aims to provide networking opportunities and discussions on AI-driven performance, fan engagement, streaming innovation, and soccer’s expanding global reach.

The summit begins at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 10 at the Prudential Center in Newark. It coincides with the FIFA Club World Cup Final scheduled at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.

Confirmed moderators and panelists include senior leaders from HBSE, Disney, U.S. Soccer, Paramount/CBS Sports, Fanatics, TEG Sport North America, and the FIFA World Cup 2026 NYNJ Host Committee.

GK Digital Ventures announced that additional speakers from across the global soccer, media, and tech industries will be revealed soon. This includes media executives, investors, technology leaders, and top athletes influencing the game’s future.

Tim Sullivan of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), a sponsor of the event stated: “The NJEDA is proud to sponsor this inaugural summit,” emphasizing its potential to connect New Jersey’s sports ecosystem with its innovation economy for investment and job creation.

Greg Kahn of GK Digital Ventures remarked that the summit reflects new innovations in global sports. “It’s more than soccer—it’s about how technology is reshaping everything from how we play to how we connect with fans around the world,” he said. He also expressed pride in partnering with HBSE and NJEDA to make New Jersey a focal point for these discussions.

In addition to hosting the FIFA Club World Cup tournament featuring top club teams across U.S. cities including East Rutherford gearing up for the 2026 Men’s World Cup next year which will feature national teams playing in cities across North America. MetLife Stadium is set to host eight games including the final on July 19, 2026.

Alex Lasry of the NYNJ Host Committee commented: “As momentum builds toward the FIFA World Cup in 2026…New Jersey isn’t just hosting eight matches…we’re helping shape the global conversation around the future of soccer.”
