Thundering Surf Waterpark on Long Beach Island was featured on the recent episode of “Minding Your Business” on News 12+. The show’s host, Bob Considine, spoke with Chris Mesanko, the owner of Thundering Surf, about the waterpark’s nearly five-decade history.
Mesanko reflected on what the park has meant to visitors over the years. “My legacy is that families came here, generationally, and made memories,” Mesanko said.
He added, “I love people coming up to me and telling me those stories. That they came here, their grandkids came here, and they’re bringing their kids here. It’s beautiful.”
“Minding Your Business” is produced by the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA). The weekly television program has earned seven Telly Awards in the past three years. This includes a gold award in 2024 for Interview & Talk Show category. The show airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 a.m., as well as Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., on News 12+.
