AirTrain Newark will be suspended from Saturday night to Sunday morning, with free shuttle buses available as an alternative service between all stations and terminals. Additionally, the AirTrain JFK single ride fare has been reduced to $4.25 through Labor Day to encourage airport access via subway or LIRR from New York City, Hudson Valley, or Long Island.

For-hire vehicle pickups at JFK Terminals 4, 5, and 7 have been relocated. Terminal 4 passengers can use a free shuttle bus to Lot 66, while passengers at Terminals 5 and 7 can take a free AirTrain to the Howard Beach pickup lot.

Lane closures are planned this week at the George Washington Bridge, Holland Tunnel, Lincoln Tunnel, Bayonne Bridge, and Goethals Bridge. Travelers using Port Authority facilities from July 11 to 17 are encouraged to plan ahead and allow additional travel time due to these changes.

Due to ongoing construction for the $19 billion redevelopment of John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), motorists and for-hire vehicle users should prepare for delays or reroutes caused by detours or closures of parts of the airport roadway network. The reduction in AirTrain JFK fare aims to promote mass transit use for accessing JFK. Customers are advised to utilize MTA New York City Transit subway or buses or MTA Long Island Rail Road services.

Motorists are encouraged by the Port Authority to use its free drop-off, pickup, and waiting lot at Lefferts Boulevard AirTrain JFK station for easy connection via on-airport AirTrain rides lasting eight minutes to airport terminals. These roadway changes support efforts in transforming JFK into a world-class global gateway featuring new terminals and amenities.
