NJBIA President and CEO Michele Siekerka will be recognized at the upcoming “Walking the Talk” Gala hosted by the YWCA of Northern New Jersey. The event honors individuals for their work in women’s empowerment, equality, and social justice.

Other honorees include Newark Mayor Ras Baraka; Linda J. Baraka, Newark’s First Lady and founder of Newark Women Moving Forward; Kirsten Scheurer Branigan, an attorney who is founder and managing partner of KSBranigan Law P.C.; and Amber Reed, co-executive director of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders of New Jersey.

The gala is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park. Tickets, ad journals, and sponsorships are available for purchase online. The deadline to submit journal ads for the event is Friday, Oct. 15.
