The New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA) has announced the reconstitution of its charitable arm, the Foundation for Housing. Established in 1999, this non-profit entity collaborates with builders and associated professionals in the residential construction industry to address housing insecurity by increasing access to affordable shelter in New Jersey. The foundation also supports careers in homebuilding through scholarships and partnerships.
As its first initiative, the revived Foundation for Housing, in consultation with the NJBA Environment Committee, has established the Tony DiLodovico Memorial Scholarship. Tony DiLodovico, who passed away in August, was a long-time member of NJBA since 1990 and contributed significantly to the association over three decades. He held various roles including Life Director on the NJBA Board and received multiple industry awards such as Associate of the Year and Associate Hall of Fame.
The scholarship aims to honor DiLodovico's dedication to the housing industry by supporting individuals interested in furthering their education in this field. The Trustees hope to present this scholarship annually, contingent on the level of support received by the Foundation.
