The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) has announced a virtual public stakeholder meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 20, 2024, to discuss the draft solicitation guidance document (SGD) for its fourth offshore wind solicitation.
"The success of New Jersey’s clean energy future remains closely linked to robust public engagement," said NJBPU President Christine Guhl-Sadovy. "As we build upon the State’s third offshore wind solicitation and the promise of thousands of good-paying jobs, we look forward to soliciting valuable feedback from our partners in New Jersey’s clean energy transition."
In its most recent solicitation on January 24, 2024, the Board awarded two of New Jersey’s largest offshore wind projects to date: the 1,342 MW Attentive Energy Two project and the 2,400 MW Leading Light Wind project. Developers of both projects, alongside Murphy Administration officials and representatives from organized labor, recently highlighted the projects’ potential economic impact at the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters’ Commercial Dive School facility in Sicklerville.
The meeting will be conducted via a Zoom webinar from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Interested participants must register for the meeting by clicking the registration link at least 48 hours in advance: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_x2XnuGEgQLyQOkSvLCelvA
