NJ TRANSIT announced that it will provide rail service for fans attending the upcoming CONMEBOL Copa América soccer tournament and Luke Combs concerts at MetLife Stadium in June and July. The service will be operated on the BetMGM Meadowlands Rail Line between Secaucus Junction and MetLife Stadium.
Rail schedules for these events will be posted closer to the event dates. Customers are encouraged to visit njtransit.com/MetLifeStadium for complete details. NJ TRANSIT advises passengers to purchase round-trip tickets from their originating station to Meadowlands Station in advance to avoid delays and a $5 surcharge per ticket if purchased on the train.
From Penn Station New York, there is no direct train service to MetLife Stadium. Passengers should take any NJ TRANSIT train stopping at Secaucus Junction and transfer to special Meadowlands-bound trains. Departure boards at Penn Station New York will display "SEC" for trains stopping at Secaucus.
For those traveling from Hoboken, there are no direct trains to MetLife Stadium. Passengers can take any Main, Bergen County, Pascack Valley, or Port Jervis Line train to Secaucus Junction and transfer.
Following events, customers must also travel via Secaucus Junction if heading back to Penn Station New York or Hoboken. During peak periods after an event, trains operate every 15 minutes until crowds dissipate, then as needed. For evening events, passengers should check connection times at Secaucus Junction carefully.
Limited direct service from Meadowlands Station to Hoboken is available following some events; otherwise, transfers in Secaucus are required. NJ TRANSIT recommends downloading its mobile app for real-time departures and schedule information.
NJ TRANSIT serves over 925,000 weekday trips across its extensive network of bus routes, light rail lines, commuter rail lines, and paratransit services throughout New Jersey, New York, and Philadelphia.
