Emily Seidel, President and CEO of Americans for Prosperity (AFP), issued a statement on July 14, 2024, condemning the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
"We condemn yesterday’s violence in the strongest terms and pray for the family and loved ones of the spectator who sadly lost his life. We’re thankful that former President Trump is safe and wish him a speedy and full recovery," Seidel stated.
Seidel emphasized unity over division, saying, "There is much more that unites us than divides us, and we can disagree without being driven to hate. Violence is never acceptable, and no one should ever have to fear for their safety for expressing their political views in the United States of America."
