NJBIA President & CEO Michele Siekerka has been named to South Jersey Biz’s 2024 Power 50 list, which honors the state’s most influential decision-makers in government and business.
“Every year, the leaders we recognize in Power 50 represent the sum of the industries that collectively serve as the economic engine making South Jersey hum, and 2024’s installment is no exception,” stated the magazine.
Siekerka has led New Jersey's largest business association since 2014, enhancing NJBIA’s influence on critical policy issues and expanding member services and resources. Under her leadership, NJBIA has advocated for pro-business reforms to make New Jersey more competitive regionally and established strategic workforce development partnerships among academia, business, and government.
South Jersey Biz’s Power 50 also invited selected leaders to discuss their professional career paths and lessons learned.
“I always wanted to be a lawyer or a judge when I was a young girl,” Siekerka said. “Despite pursuing that career, I learned along my path that new opportunities present themselves and you must never be afraid to seize them. I am exactly where I should be, even if I could never have imagined it — and I love it!”
