CCGNJ's Felicia Grondin discusses problem gambling rise amid online betting legalization

On this weekend’s “Minding Your Business” on News 12+, Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey Executive Director Felicia Grondin discusses with host Bob Considine the increase in addictive gambling in New Jersey following the legalization of online betting.

The CCGNJ, which has been operating for more than 40 years, aims to raise awareness about problem gambling in New Jersey. It provides numerous resources for individuals struggling with addiction and their families. More information is available at their website www.800gambler.org.

On September 20, CCGNJ will hold its annual conference titled "Betting on Change: Confronting the Surge in Problem Gambling" at the New Jersey Hospital Association’s headquarters in Princeton.

This weekend’s show also features comprehensive coverage of a rally where a coalition of legislators from both parties, union workers, energy producers, and business leaders call upon the Environmental Protection Agency and the state Department of Environmental Protection to avoid electric vehicle mandates they argue are unattainable and will negatively impact New Jersey’s economy.

NJBIA’s “Minding Your Business” is a weekly TV show that has won seven Telly Awards over the past three years, including a gold 2024 Telly in the Interview & Talk Show category. It airs on News 12+ at 9:30 a.m. every Saturday and Sunday, as well as 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.

News 12+ is available on most Fios and Optimum systems in New Jersey or can be streamed live here.
