NJ Transit announces return of 'Music in Motion' concert series

NJ TRANSIT has announced the return of its “Music in Motion” concert series, featuring a performance by the Emmy and Grammy Award-winning New Jersey Symphony. The event is free to the public.

The New Jersey Symphony Chamber Players will perform as a brass quintet outside Hoboken Terminal on Thursday, September 26th at 4 p.m. This marks the first performance since NJ TRANSIT’s community-based initiative, “Music in Motion,” was paused during the pandemic.

“Music in Motion” began as part of NJ TRANSIT’s 25th Anniversary celebration in 2004. It aims to showcase local musicians by having them perform in NJ TRANSIT station facilities.

For more information on upcoming performances, visit the official Music in Motion website: www.facebook.com/NJTRANSITMIM. For more details about the New Jersey Symphony, visit https://www.njsymphony.org/.

The New Jersey Symphony's programs are supported by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and various foundations, corporations, and individual donors.

NJ TRANSIT is recognized as the nation's largest statewide public transportation system, providing over 925,000 weekday trips across bus routes, light rail lines, commuter rail lines, and through Access Link paratransit service. It ranks as the third-largest transit system in the country with extensive rail stations, light rail stations, and bus stops linking major points in New Jersey, New York, and Philadelphia.
