The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) has commenced its 15th annual food drive to support the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. The FoodBank distributes food to charities, soup kitchens, food pantries, and other areas in need.
Donations for the food drive are being accepted both physically and online at various locations across the state until November 15.
The Community FoodBank serves 15 counties in New Jersey, providing over 90 million meals annually through its network. According to the FoodBank, nearly 18% of children in South Jersey face hunger.
Financial donations can be made online via the NJCPA website. Non-perishable food donations can be dropped off at specific office locations unless specified as online only or by appointment at the NJCPA offices in Roseland by contacting Susan Dyer.
Since its inception in 2010, the NJCPA has donated nearly 25,000 pounds of food to the FoodBank. This year, several organizations are participating:

“It’s important to realize that New Jersey has many pockets of vulnerable citizens and we have a real opportunity to make an impact,” said Joseph Hunt from CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) LLP and chair of the NJCPA Emerging Leaders Council.
“I am proud that our members continue to give of themselves and donate their time and financial resources to the well-being of others,” said Aiysha Johnson from NJCPA. “Taking steps to eradicate hunger is an important responsibility that our members have supported for years.”
