In a recent video from the 10th Annual New Jersey Women Business Leaders Forum, prominent businesswomen discussed ways to enhance assertiveness skills that are crucial for career advancement and fostering respectful workplace environments. The event was organized by NJBIA.
Monica Dema, who is the global head of Content Creation at MDinc, moderated the panel. She guided discussions on effective techniques for asserting oneself in professional settings, including strategies for saying "no" when necessary to colleagues, clients, and supervisors.
The panel featured Stephanie Staub, Director of Workforce Strategy at New Jersey Community College Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development; Sarah Switlik, Chief Operating Officer at Switlik Survival Products in Trenton; and Robin Berg Tabakin, President/Owner of Technoforce LLC and the president-elect of the New Jersey State Women’s Chamber of Commerce.
