The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has elected seven new members to its board. The election took place on October 15, with the new members representing various industries and regions across the state. These individuals are expected to contribute to the Chamber's mission of promoting a vibrant business environment in New Jersey.
The newly elected board members include A. Michael Candido, President of J. Moore & Co. Mechanical Contractors; Diane Conboy-Kirshenbaum, Senior Managing Director and Market President at Peapack-Gladstone Bank; Stephen Dilts, Senior Vice President-New Jersey Office Leader at HNTB Corporation; Lawrence R. Inserra III, President of Inserra Supermarkets; Max Leventhal, Director of Business Development at Fedway Associates; Phillip Vavala, Region President at Atlantic City Electric; and Deborah Visconi, President and CEO of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center.
Thomas Bracken, president & CEO of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, commented on the appointments: "There are many opportunities and challenges facing New Jersey – and these individuals will provide counsel and expertise as we work collaboratively to ensure the state reaches its full economic potential." He added that they will join an already impressive group of business leaders on the board.
The board plays a crucial role in advising chamber staff on policy issues impacting both short-term and long-term economic growth in New Jersey. It places particular emphasis on areas such as Economic Development & Taxation, Education and Workforce Development, Environment & Energy, Government Reform, Healthcare, and Transportation.
