Tammy and Governor Murphy expressed their sorrow over the passing of former Assembly Speaker Garabed 'Chuck' Haytaian. In a statement, they acknowledged his extensive career serving New Jersey. Haytaian's roles included Speaker of the General Assembly, U.S. Senate candidate, and Chairman of the New Jersey Republican State Committee. Born in the Bronx to Armenian Genocide survivors, he became well-known throughout New Jersey.
"Our heartfelt prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time," stated Governor Murphy.
