Raritan Valley Community College's Automotive Technology Associate of Applied Science (AAS) program has been recognized with the ASE Training Managers Council’s (ATMC) National Excellence in Training Award. The annual awards commend exceptional or innovative training programs within the automotive and truck industry, underscoring the significance of training for industry success.
The 2024 ATMC National Excellence in Training Awards were announced at a reception on November 6 during AAPEX in Las Vegas. The submissions underwent evaluation by an ATMC panel, and awards were granted to the top three programs that achieved a prescribed level of excellence based on several criteria: Program Overview, Needs Analysis, Learning Objectives, Program Elements/Materials, Delivery Methods, Measurement of Intended Outcome, and Program Sustainment/Maintenance.
Founded in 1984 as a nonprofit organization, the ASE Training Managers Council aims to advance training and professional development within the automotive service industry. It was reorganized in 2009 as part of the ASE family of organizations. The ATMC supports its members by facilitating interactions to keep them updated on innovations in training.
RVCC is located in Branchburg and offers both a one-year certificate program and a two-year AAS degree in automotive technology. For more information about these programs or an evening training option, interested parties can email Sara Heller or visit the college’s website.
