Industry experts are set to discuss strategies for New Jersey's growth at a symposium hosted by the Rutgers Business School Center for Real Estate. The event, titled “New Jersey at a Crossroads: How and Where Do We Grow from Here?” is organized in partnership with Sills Cummis & Gross PC. It will take place on Tuesday, March 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at The Heldrich Hotel & Conference Center in New Brunswick.
The symposium aims to explore how New Jersey can attract and retain residents and businesses, modernize transportation and utility infrastructure, address housing affordability, and tackle other pressing issues. Topics of discussion will include regional planning challenges in a state characterized by its strong home-rule ethos across 564 municipalities, as well as numerous state regulations.
Participants will also address climate change and flooding concerns, reshoring manufacturing to the U.S., and meeting energy needs for power-intensive sectors such as AI, quantum computing, and cryptocurrency businesses.
The Rutgers Business School Center for Real Estate focuses on expanding knowledge through research related to the real estate profession and economy. The center engages with industry leaders and policymakers through lectures, seminars, and conferences while providing students with internship opportunities through networking events.
Registration details are available online with early-bird pricing until February 17.
