On a recent episode of "Minding Your Business" on News 12+, Althea D. Ford, Vice President of Government Affairs at NJBIA, discussed the investments in childcare within New Jersey. The conversation with Bob Considine highlighted both the progress made and the challenges that persist in this critical sector.
Ford emphasized the foundational role of childcare in supporting all industries. "If you think about it, ultimately, childcare is the industry that undergirds every industry," she stated.
She further stressed the importance of a collective effort to ensure economic stability in New Jersey. "And so if we are wanting to be deliberate about ensuring our economic viability in the state, we need an all-hands-on-deck approach. Every individual needs to be able to contribute meaningfully to our economy; and that includes working parents."
