The New Jersey Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) will host Cherian Koshy, a well-known expert in philanthropy and the nonprofit sector. This event is part of the annual Frank V. Whitley Lecture and will take place in Edison on March 7.
Koshy brings over 25 years of experience working with nonprofits, particularly in fundraising. As a coach and consultant, he has guided organizations to enhance their revenue growth and build stronger teams. His work focuses on helping struggling nonprofits find strategies for time management and achieving predictable success. Koshy holds credentials as a Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE), Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP), and an AFP Master Trainer.
The keynote address by Koshy, titled “Unforgettable Leadership: Navigating Adaptability, Influence, and Technological Change,” will be the main feature of the session. It aims to equip nonprofit leaders with essential skills to thrive amid volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. The discussion will cover topics such as adaptive leadership, diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), remote work strategies, and team success.
AFP President & CEO Mike Geiger will also speak at the event before the keynote address. He will provide insights into philanthropy trends for 2025, focusing on charitable giving and nonprofit sustainability.
Scheduled for Friday, March 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the event at Pines Manor in Edison includes a breakfast buffet along with networking opportunities for nonprofit professionals, fundraisers, and leaders. Registration details are available online.
