The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce has announced the formation of a board of directors for its Young Professionals (YP) Network, appointing seven young leaders to serve as its inaugural members. The YP Network aims to unite emerging business leaders to foster connections, professional growth, and community impact through various events and learning opportunities.
On March 5, the board convened for its first meeting in Trenton to discuss strategies for broadening the network's influence and enhancing its visibility. The appointed board members include Kayleen Arguello from Control Point Associates, Chris DeCotiis from CGI, Scottie Germain from Fiserv, Chris Lowicki from NJ Sharing Network, Fatema Raza from Withum, Christian Vila from HNTB, and Rob Vota from Jersey Shore BlueClaws.
Caitlin Lopez and Amirah Hussain are leading the Young Professionals Network. Lopez noted the swift career advancement of the new board members and their understanding of connection-building. "They are passionate about their careers," Lopez stated. "Their passion and excitement will help create top-quality events."
Hussain echoed these sentiments: "The Young Professional Board's mission is to help young people advance their careers, create their own community and learn from each other,” she said. “I am confident that our appointed board of directors will help guide us to success.”
Established in 2019 under the guidance of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, the Young Professionals Network is tailored for business professionals aged 21 to 39. It focuses on networking, skill development, and contributing positively to businesses and local communities. Membership is available to individuals working in member companies of the chamber. The network collaborates with other young professional organizations across New Jersey on events and volunteer initiatives.
