Princeton-based JZA+D opens new office in Midtown Manhattan

Joshua Zinder Architecture + Design (JZA+D), an integrated design firm based in Princeton, has announced the opening of a new office in Midtown Manhattan. This expansion aims to broaden the firm's client base and leverage its experience in the New York Metro Region.

The firm, founded in 2006 by managing partner Joshua Zinder, AIA, LEED AP, is known for its innovation in various design fields. JZA+D's portfolio includes architecture, interiors, product, furniture, and graphic design. The firm operates under the leadership of Zinder and partner Mark A. Sullivan, AIA, LEED AP.

“JZA+D works across as many sectors and typologies as possible because we believe firmly in the importance of cross-pollination of ideas,” said Zinder. He noted that their solutions are “innovative, modern and cost-effective.” With projects already underway or completed in Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and Jersey City, expanding to Manhattan was described as a natural progression.

In addition to bringing innovation and sustainable design to the New York Metro Region, JZA+D recently completed a gallery space in Tribeca. They are also working on an Upper West Side residence and a senior center in Queens. Their DBA division Landau | Zinder Architecture continues to provide services to synagogues in Brooklyn and Jersey City.

JZA+D's previous work includes residential interiors and transforming a mixed-use property into a meeting hall for Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1056 in Queens.

Richard Perry, AIA, LEED AP has been appointed principal of the New York office. With over 30 years of experience across various project types and registration as an architect in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, Perry brings extensive regional expertise. “I live in New York City...and I believe the New York Metro Region will benefit from our being more active here,” he stated.
