Voting has commenced for the "Makers Madness – The Coolest Thing Made in New Jersey" contest. This initiative is a collaboration between Manufacturing Counts, NJBIA, and the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP) to highlight the state's manufacturing industry.
Forty-eight products have been chosen for the first round from nominations across New Jersey over the past month. Voting for this round will be open until 11:50 p.m. on Monday, March 24. Participants can vote up to five times per day per device, with flexibility in how they allocate their votes, including voting multiple times for a single product.
The top 16 products with the most votes will proceed to the second round. NJMEP CEO Peter Connolly remarked, “The Makers Madness initiative is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the incredible innovation and craftsmanship found within New Jersey’s manufacturing sector.” NJBIA President and CEO Michele Siekerka added, “Our Makers Madness contest will bring more well-deserved attention to New Jersey companies, their creations and New Jersey as a manufacturing state.”
The winner of the contest will be announced at the State of the State of Manufacturing event in Trenton in May. They will receive an award and coverage in future issues of New Jersey Business Magazine and Manufacturing Matters Magazine.
NJBIA and NJMEP formalized their partnership through Manufacturing Counts in 2022 to enhance support for manufacturing businesses throughout New Jersey.
