Farmmi Inc., a Chinese company specializing in agricultural products, has launched a 49,800-square-foot warehouse in Somerset. This establishment signifies a notable expansion of Farmmi's logistics operations on the East Coast of North America.
Founded in 1998, Farmmi is known for processing and selling edible fungi, such as shiitake and wood ear mushrooms, and other agricultural goods. The new logistics hub in Somerset is managed by Farmmi USA Inc., the company's U.S. subsidiary. The facility is designed to improve warehousing capabilities, streamline operations, and reduce shipping costs for customer orders in the eastern United States, while also shortening delivery times. The warehouse is situated in a multi-tenant industrial park at 1100 Randolph Road.
Yefang Zhang, CEO of Farmmi, emphasized the company's commitment to optimizing its distribution network, stating, "As an agricultural products supplier and distribution logistics services provider, we are dedicated to optimizing our distribution network to better serve our growing customer base with high-quality products," during an announcement made on March 28. Zhang also highlighted that "the official launch of our New Jersey facility not only strengthens Farmmi’s competitiveness in the U.S. market but also further improves our operational efficiency and supports our long-term strategic goals."
