The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) is set to commence the application process for the Route 80 Business Assistance Grant Program on Tuesday, April 22, at 10:00 a.m. This initiative is designed to support small businesses in Morris County affected by the revenue drops due to lane closures on Route 80. These closures are a result of ongoing repairs to sinkholes.
The program will offer financial grants between $1,000 and $15,000 to small businesses and non-profits situated near Route 80’s Exit 34, directly impacted by the traffic disruption. Eligible participants include entities with a maximum of 50 full-time employees, located within a five-mile radius of Exit 34. Applicants must demonstrate at least a $1,000 financial impact for the first quarter of 2025.
Submissions will be open from April 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., and will proceed on a first-come, first-served basis until available funds are depleted.
