The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has welcomed six new members as elected on April 9. These individuals come from a diverse range of industries and sectors throughout New Jersey. The addition aims to bolster the Chamber's objective of promoting economic development within the state.
The newly appointed board members include Joseph Baumann, Chairman at McManimon, Scotland & Baumann, LLC; Timothy Corriston, Managing Partner at Connell Foley; Paul Di Maio, President & CEO at Delta Dental of New Jersey; Paul Fried, CEO and Member of the Firm at Smolin; Jon Gooda, Vice President at Newark Hub, United Airlines; and Debra Rizzi, President at Rizco.
Thomas Bracken, President & CEO of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, stated, "New Jersey is navigating a period of both significant opportunity and complex challenges. The individuals joining our Board bring distinguished expertise and strategic insight that will further enhance our mission to advance the state’s economic prosperity. They will serve alongside an esteemed group of business leaders already dedicated to this important work."
The board plays a key role in advising on policy issues that impact New Jersey's economic growth in both the short and long term. The focus areas include Economic Development & Taxation, Education and Workforce Development, Environment and Energy, Government Reform, Health Care, and Transportation.
