The Somerset County Business Partnership (SCBP) has announced a new multi-year partnership with Unity Bank, granting the bank exclusive naming rights to the Somerset Business Hub. The facility, located at 50 Division St. in Somerville, has been newly named "Powered by Unity Bank."
The Somerset Business Hub was established in 2024 as a modern facility aimed at fostering growth and innovation within the business community. Unity Bank's involvement underscores its dedication to supporting local businesses, as indicated in its recent collaboration with SCBP.
Designed to cater to various business needs, the Hub provides advanced audiovisual technology, flexible layouts for various event sizes, and is strategically located in downtown Somerville. It is accessible to the business community, hosting an array of programs and services such as education, mentorship, and networking events at no cost.
SCBP President & CEO Chris Edwards expressed gratitude towards Unity Bank, stating, “Thanks to Unity Bank’s commitment, we were able to build the Somerset Business Hub as a modern conference center for our business community." Edwards added that the Hub has already been beneficial to many businesses and aims to extend its reach further through this agreement.
Unity Bank’s President & CEO, James Hughes, shared similar sentiments, emphasizing that "this collaboration reflects our commitment to empowering entrepreneurs, fostering innovation, and strengthening our community."
The partnership was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Business Hub, attended by Unity Bank leadership and SCBP board members.
