On a recent episode of "Minding Your Business" on News 12+, discussions centered around the challenges businesses in New Jersey face due to economic uncertainty. The show highlighted NJBIA's Business Mania event and featured insights from Citizens Business Banking Market Executive Nuno Francisco and NJBIA Chief Government Officer Christopher Emigholz.
Emigholz noted an increase in inquiries regarding federal policy issues, stating, "We always get questions about what’s going on in the Legislature, what’s going on in the governor’s office, [but] we’ve gotten more calls about federal policy issues than I’ve ever seen at BIA over the past couple of months."
He elaborated on various concerns impacting businesses, including tariffs, immigration, and funding freezes. "Whether it’s tariffs, immigration, [or] funding freezes, I think that is all something the BIA Government Affairs team has had to jump in to work on," Emigholz said. He emphasized the compounded challenges due to New Jersey's regulatory environment and political uncertainties with an upcoming change in governorship.
"So we’re working on the federal side, working on the state side, working on the political side, and trying to navigate these uncertainties," he added.
NJBIA's "Minding Your Business" is recognized for its quality content and has received seven Telly Awards over three years, including a gold award in 2024 for Interview & Talk Show category.
