New Jersey reports strong gaming revenue growth in May

Today, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement released the gaming revenue results for May 2025. The report highlights significant growth in several areas compared to the previous year.

The Casino Win for nine casino hotels reached $265.3 million in May 2025, marking a 10.9% increase from $239.1 million in May 2024. Year-to-date, Casino Win was $1.12 billion through May 2025, showing a modest rise of 0.8% over the same period last year.

Internet Gaming Win also saw notable growth, with casinos and their partners reporting $246.8 million for May 2025. This figure represents a substantial increase of 28.5% from $192.1 million in May 2024. For the year-to-date period, Internet Gaming Win was $1.16 billion through May 2025, up by 22.5% compared to $942.8 million in the previous year.

Sports Wagering Gross Revenue experienced an upswing as well, totaling $102.5 million for May 2025—a rise of 30.2% from $78.8 million reported in May 2024. However, on a year-to-date basis, Sports Wagering Gross Revenue decreased by 10.3%, amounting to $460.2 million through May 2025 compared to $513 million for the same period last year.

Overall, Total Gaming Revenue for casinos, racetracks, and their partners amounted to $614.7 million in May 2025, reflecting a growth rate of 20.5% over the previous year's figure of $510 million in May 2024. Year-to-date Total Gaming Revenue was recorded at $2.74 billion through May 2025—an increase of 6.6% from $2.57 billion reported during the same timeframe last year.

Total Gross Revenue Taxes were reported at $66.8 million for May 2025 and reached $301.7 million for the year-to-date through May.
