The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) has released a Request for Information (RFI) aimed at exploring potential programs and funding allocations to enhance electric vehicle charging infrastructure for commercial and industrial fleets in New Jersey. The RFI seeks insights into opportunities, barriers, potential partnerships, and best practices that could accelerate investment in fleet electrification.
Currently, the NJEDA supports transportation decarbonization by addressing the purchase price of medium and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicles. The new initiative aims to gather additional information on investments needed for charging infrastructure to support this ongoing electrification effort.
Responses are sought from various stakeholders, including owners and operators of private commercial and industrial fleets, charging-as-a-service providers, electric vehicle technical assistance providers, and other experts or entities involved in fleet electrification. Notably, entities do not need to be based in New Jersey to participate.
Interested parties must submit their questions by 5:00 p.m. on July 15, 2025. Questions should be emailed with the subject line “Questions-2025-RFI-258.” Responses will be posted publicly on the NJEDA website under Bidding Opportunities as Addenda.
All RFI responses are due by 5:00 p.m. on July 30, 2025. Submissions should be sent via email with the subject line “RFI Response-2025-RFI-258.”
