Bloustein School students gain hands-on experience at Ironbound Farm

A group of undergraduate students studying Sustainable Food and Energy Policy at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy visited Ironbound Farm in Asbury, New Jersey. The visit was led by Garin Bulger, a PhD student, Senior Research Specialist at the Center for Urban Policy Research (CUPR), and lecturer at the school.

During the trip, students observed how sustainable farming practices are implemented in real-world settings. The experience aimed to connect classroom learning with practical applications on a working farm.

"This visit allowed students to see firsthand how a real sustainable farm operates in order to put learnings into practice," said Garin Bulger.

The field trip is part of efforts to provide experiential learning opportunities for students interested in food and energy policy.
